Double.LL Official Launch Event

On Wednesday 18th April, we had our Official Double.LL Magazine Launch Event on a gloriously sunny evening at The Mulberry Inn, Llwynmawr with chilled Prosecco and delicious canapés on arrival, courtesy of Allan and John and their talented kitchen staff, Richard and Wyn.

We invited a small group of local ‘movers and shakers’ across Chirk and the Ceiriog Valley, including councillors, local business owners and key people featured in the launch edition.

Welcome to the launch

A presentation was shown to the guests to give everyone an idea of what we are doing, our aims and why we were inspired to bring Double.LL Magazine to life at a time when many are questioning “isn’t print dead?”

Our research shows that people still want to read quality print publications, but it is our firm belief that print must also evolve and embrace the digital world. That is why we are dedicated to bringing the ‘Social Oomph’ to print by integrating our magazine across social media platforms and this blog on our website.

Launch set up

Our guest speaker for the Launch Event was Joe Bickerton, Destination Manager at This Is Wrexham, who has very kindly made the decision to endorse our project, which we are utterly thrilled about! Joe spoke to the guests about his own mission with This Is Wrexham to support the local economy and encourage tourism across Chirk and the Ceiriog Valley, working closely with the community and the fantastic establishments that are based here.

Enjoying the garden

We were absolutely delighted with all the support and interest that we had from all of the guests which has really put a great big spring in our step, and now we’re even more excited to share this new venture with the rest of the world – well, across Chirk and the Ceiriog Valley at least!
